I recently bought a genuine rubber strap and a replica rubber strapfor my replica Bell & Ross watches. Surpricingly, the rep does not pale too much befor the gen, and the price is quite favoable.Here comes my review about these two rubber strap.

Ok, the rep feels very uncomfortable because it is way too rigid, but the gen is just slightly less rigid than the rep. I thought the gen would felt much smoother, but it turns out that its is just slightly less rigid. And it makes me totally accept the rep.

The BR stamping on the rep is a bit bolder than that on the gen, but you can hardly notice this unless you put both straps side by side. So no one will will spot the rep even if staring at the watch. On the back, the font is incorrect, I do not think anyone can spot that without putting putting the rep and the gen side by side.The & logo is also thiner and off-centered, but still it is hard to confirm it is a rep if you are not a gen strap expert.

The “biggest” flaw is the buckle. The build is incorrect, and the finish is not accurate, because one is SS and the other one is real carbon. Also, the angles on the rep are too sharp. When looking form the side, the rep is too thin, but when you look at it from the top, you can see that the size is very accurate.

To sum up, I’m really surprised by the accuracy of the rep. As mentioned the big flaw is just the imperfect But that is not a big issue fro me.

Now I am rethinking if I have made a wrong decision to buy a gen rubber strap at $200. And I hope the rep strap will get a bit more comfortable after some wrist time.
